Cricut Explore

This is my new Cricut Explore. It can cut many different materials like paper, vinyl, cardstock, fabric. It can cut images from Cricut cartridges, bmps, svgs, etc. It can write etc. This is a picture of the vinyl cuts that I added to personalise it a bit. I've got room to add more should I want to....

Sunburst Card

With seeing these cards all over Pinterest and the web I had to settle myself to try making one. Hurrah it came out not too bad I think. I used CTMH's Pemberley paper. I used the Cricut Explore to cut the border and the little flowers on the left hand side. I can stamp a sentiment on when I decide what it will be used for.

Umbrella Girl

This card is a cut from Kate's ABC's Cricut cartridge. It's so easy to see and cut these cuts in Cricut Design Space. I did have a little trouble cutting the clouds though. I think it may be the type of paper I was using because everything else cut like butter. The 2 main mats and sentiment mat came from Art Philosophy. The stamp is from a CTMH bundle. The pink and yellow paper is CTMH's Dream Pop paper.

Butterfly In Tree Card

This card was made for the Cricut Forum's Wednesday Bi-Weekly Card Sketch Challenge. I just saw the tree and wanted to use my new Close To My Heart tree stamp. So I worked backwards and got the tree fitted on to the white circle cut on the Explore and then cut the rest of the mats and sentiment cut in the Design Space. I coloured the tree with Bic markers and there is a small orange butterfly cut on the tree.

Tara Layout

This layout has been inside my head for a long time. With the new Cricut Explore machine you get so many images in the first few weeks free I just had to cut this Rough Collie. The photograph is my new husband, in our new house, with our new puppy not long into our marriage. We are now in our 28th year! The dog cut is from Pet Shop image set. It's very hard to remember where the other cuts are from now that I am using the Cricut Explore and Design Space. In Cricut Craft Room you just right-clicked on an image and you were told which cartridge it came from but don't know how to do that yet with the Explore.... All the stamps though, come from Close To My Heart.

Teddy Bunny Card

Or should it be Bunny Teddy Card... Not sure, however, this cut is from Teddy Bear Parade. He ended up turned around simply because I didn't like the paper that was on the other side of the orange bunny costume. So I had a few alterations to make but nothing major. Poor Teddy being operated on.

Winnie The Pooh Card

This is a bit like the previous card. It's so much easier to see in Cricut Design Space. This cut is from the Pooh And Friends cartridge. I thought it would be easy to make it look like Pooh was in between the bridge supports... and with a bit of pushing I managed to get him through. He's got a nice game of Pooh Sticks going with Piglet there!

Tulips Card

Finally used my Art Nouveau card to cut these tulips out. I am hoping to use Art Nouveau a lot more with the Cricut Explore because everything is much easier to see in Cricut Design Space. The hard part is just having enough colours and enough time with so many images to cut....

Explore Thank You Card

Guess what? I got a new Cricut Explore machine. This card is the first one that everyone makes with the materials that come with the machine. This card uses the pen on the same cut pass. I love it! Thank you darling!

Thanks Card

Here is a card that I had to make in a hurry one night when my Close To My Heart order arrived before I was expecting it. I followed a card pattern in Make It From Your Heart Volume 2 book, number 19. I just happened to have the stamp that they used so it was easy peasy! Paper was CTMH's Laughing Lola.

Happy Birthday

This was a birthday card that my 10 year old son made for my cousin. We cut out the word "Sylvia" on the Cricut and then he used the cut out as a stencil which he stickled. He had the idea to stamp the candle in place of the "i" in her name. Good job son!

Family Christmas

Yet another Artbooking cartridge layout. The decorations overlay, photo frame and joy all come from Artbooking. The font came from Gypsy Font.

Sledding

This layout was also cut out from the Cricut Artbooking cartridge - the snowflake background, photo frames, brrr, and the snowman. Sledding was cut from Mickey Font Cricut cartridge.

Golden Gate Bridge

This scrapbook layout was cut using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge for the title, (love that font), photo frame and blue border up the left side. Golden Gate Bridge medallion at the bottom was cut using the San Francisco digital image in Cricut Craft Room. The seagull was a free image from the Craft Room.

Rosy Banner

This banner was made for a work colleague's little girl to celebrate her birthday. She was going to put it up at the pool.

Whopper Birthday Card
Card number 4 in the Bi Weekly Cricut card sketch challenge. I have been dying to use these stamps since I got them over a year ago at a craft fair. Isn't that such a cool Kewpie baby? Stickles were used for the foam on the sea - you just can't see it very well. Though it doesn't look like much Cricut cuts were used all the pieces, except the card, were cut using Cricut Craft Room.
Pemberley Paper Valentine
Aaaagghhh! something happened to the blog. It's not doing things the way it used to. Hopefully it's temporary. This card is number 3 in the sketch challenge. I love this CTMH paper. The extra credit credentials were fulfilled. Use red, white, blue and yellow.
Banner Card

Number 2 in our challenge. Another nice easy card especially when you are using the Cricut Craft Room. I wish it could set things out straight for you too. I stamped the pieces of card to make my own background paper. The banner says, "Best wishes to you".
Keep Calm Card

This card is one of four for the Bi Weekly Card Sketch Challenge that's run on the Cricut Forum website. A nice easy card.

Valentine Card 2

Another easy card this time most of the shapes and the Valentine word came from CTMH's Artiste cartridge. Also the sentiment mat and the Hugs stamp come from CTMH. The large heart is from Art Philosophy with the smaller hearts coming from Cricut Craft Room Basics. The brown tag shape was duplicated in Cricut Craft Room and enlarged to make a cream mat to write your message on.
Valentine Card

Made this quick card from CTMH's Artbooking Cricut cartridge. The sentiment mat is a Spellbinder and the stamp is from CTMH. Easy peasy!

Bi Weekly Card Sketch Challenge

This card was produced for the Bi Weekly Card Sketch Challenge that's held on the Cricut Forum message boards. These colours are way out of my comfort zone but I thought I would try them. The paper is Close To My Heart's Dream Pop paper. The flower and leaves were stamped but that paper has a resist on them. The stamps are also CTMH's Frame Flair and Hooray Bouquet.

New Home Card

This is a CTMH's Art Philosophy cartridge card. I copied the house and trees in Cricut Craft Room to cut them out in different colours. The card is backed with the cream cardstock hence the cream house. I cut the "new home" from Wild Card cartridge and just trimmed off the "for your". The Art Philosophy cartridge came with that Congratulations stamp.
Tree Birthday Card

This is a birthday card for a special uncle who worked at landscape gardening for years. I have used burlap paper behind the tree.

Quilted Card

This card was completely scraplifted from Mary's Cardz TV. (http://www.cardztv.blogspot.ca/2013/11/12-days-of-christmas-card-7-paper.html)  I had wanted to make one for ages and her instructions are just so easy to follow. I will add a sentiment sticker when I decide to use it.

Rag Doll Stamp

May use this as a birthday card for my cousin. Keeping it all flat because she is going overseas. Ahoy dolly!

Thank You Card Class

Spent time with Pam (www.pammie.myctmh.com) in her crafting space making these 2 cards. The hardest part was threading the needle lol! I have yet to stamp a sentiment when I decide what they will be used for. Thanks Pam!

Laughing Lola Card Workshop On The Go
from Close To My Heart

This was my first ever card workshop and it was a lot of fun. It was a Christmas present - thank you! I was worried that I would foul up the cutting and I did but the worst that could happen... was that last card pictured ended up having 2 green pieces of paper and I don't think it looks that bad!

New Year Party Favours

Made these party favours to give out prizes for winning (and losing) games on New Year's eve. It was a fun night.

Christmas Tags

Played around making all kinds of Christmas tags this year. I didn't have to buy any!
